Alongside a messaging tool common in most community platforms, On The Dot has a unique three-way introduction tool through which a person can connect individuals within the platform, creating an easy way to share networks and build deeper connection. The platform contains a mentor-matching tool where users can connect and chat with subject-matter experts, plus a one-on-one integrated instant video feature where users can easily “chat” with other members without the cumbersome barrier of setting up a separate link. The software also has a focus group tool that community members can utilize to deep dive on a specific topic. And because On The Dot understands that most communities host virtual events, they built out a very feature-rich event platform that rivals even the top event platforms. All this, at no extra cost to the customer.

On The Dot onboards customers with a kick-off meeting to do a deep dive into the goals for the community. Then they build an entirely customizable community profile where information can be collected regarding an individual’s skills, interests, passions, etc. Additionally, platform administrators can ask questions that will not be made public, but that may be vital information for an organization to know about their members. The unique way the profile data is designed allows for it to drive suggested connections among members and for members to easily narrow down a search in the “Find My People” tool to get a connection to the exact right individual. And, of course, the data is private and owned by the customer.
