The global economy was locked in an intense face-off with the pandemic's stringent restrictions and limited mobility. As a result, customer trends changed along with their purchasing patterns. Across a myriad of different industry verticals, organizations worldwide struggled to work out their marketing efforts to help negate or even overcome the deadlock of a closed commercial ecosystem. Fortunately, for the longest time, much before the pandemic even took hold, the internet had begun it's steady ascend, one-upping brick and mortar establishments to become the primary marketplace for the billions of people that scrolled across it.It is safe to say that "everything online," has succeeded in this endeavor, using solutions as innovative as them to keep the cogs moving smoothly. Social media marketing, content management, web analytics, landing pages, customer support, and search engine optimization are the mainstays of an online marketing effort. HubSpot has been a major player in this regard offering its tools and services as far back as 2007. Today the company's integration features for salesforce.com, SugarCRM, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and others are decisive in a brand's ability to understand and draw in customers each day. The company has promoted its position in the space, as HubSpot's INBOUND 2021 conference went virtual for the second year in a row. The event offered a plethora of workshops and spotlight sessions from many notable presenters, including the likes of Spike Lee and Oprah. As dictated on stage, 2021 was the year of Web 3.0, i.e., the decentralization of the internet, putting power into the hands of people, where they own and control access to their data--i.e., less customer relationship management and more customer relationship magic.Trend #2 was the rise of revenue operations (RevOps) as the convergence of CRM technology and inbound process. HubSpot dedicated an entire track of sessions to RevOps, stressing the importance of aligning Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams around shared goals and a tech stack that helps them achieve said goals. The object is to have a centralized, integrated system for all users to eliminate disconnected data. And finally, HubSpot has launched New! Payment Features, New! Customer Portals, a New! Operations Hub Enterprise and a New! Sandbox for Enterprise, which are all shaped up to take the existing capabilities of HubSpot to a whole new level. In this edition, we seek to provide readers with the insights they need from industry leaders and top-level decision-makers to help them gain a deeper understanding of the advancement of the Hubspot Arena and some of its latest developments.
