Deepening Anywhere's Relationship with Home Buyers and Sellers

Esther Mireya Tejeda

Esther-Mireya Tejeda is a recognized transformation strategist known for stewarding bellwether brands through the complex challenges of today’s tech-driven marketplace.  With two decades of experience spanning lifestyle, media and entertainment, Tejeda is known for her unique blend of innovation, strategy, and operational acumen coupled with a people-first approach to leadership.

Today, Tejeda serves as the first Chief Marketing Officer at Anywhere Real Estate Inc., a billion-dollar industry leader and home to some of the most recognized brands in real estate: Better Homes & Gardens, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Corcoran Group, ERA, and Sotheby’s International Realty. Given today’s increasingly digital marketplace, Tejeda was tapped to transform Anywhere’s marketing organization into a modern, tech-driven operation centered on the customer.

On a mission to deepen Anywhere’s relationship with home buyers and sellers, Tejeda is currently pioneering behavioral science methodologies to unlock a new frontier of customer insights. Driven by a hypothesis that housing is a highly-emotional purchase, Tejeda developed a first-of-its-kind insights practice using proprietary neuroscientific tools to uncover the subconscious emotions that unknowingly shape perceptions and drive human behaviors. An avant-garde approach, Tejeda is building the practice of “emography” and instituting “emographics” as the cutting-edge method to understand and segment consumers based on their unique emotional profiles – a first for the industry and for marketers overall.

Building a culture of innovation, Tejeda is digitizing Anywhere’s marketing practices to operate efficiently, better engage consumers, and compete in today’s dynamic market. Notably, Tejeda built Anywhere’s first full-funnel analytics system, integrating AI, media, campaign, and sales data and launching its first marketing science tool - a game-changer for the real estate giant. Today, marketing efforts can be measured, unlocking real-time insights to fuel smart business decisions.

Tejeda has been a growth catalyst at organizations like SoundExchange, Entercom/CBS Radio, Univision, PepsiCo, and Diageo. In a previous CMO role, she repositioned SoundExchange, a music royalties enterprise, leveraging its unique data capabilities to establish it as the pioneer in music-technology.  She also led the marcomms strategy for the 2017 Entercom/CBS Radio merger, positioning the combined enterprise as a powerhouse in audio media, leading the way on podcasting and digital consumer experiences.  During the 2014 World Cup, Tejeda launched the marcomms operation for Univision’s new sports brand, expanding the audience from Hispanic to multi-cultural, and delivering historic wins against media giant, ESPN.

“Building a culture of innovation, Tejeda is digitizing Anywhere’s marketing practices to operate efficiently, better engage consumers, and compete in today’s dynamic market.”

A purpose-driven leader, Tejeda chairs the Women in Tech & Product group at Anywhere and is on the board of directors for the DEI Council.  She serves on the board of governors for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, working to improve access to affordable housing for Latinos nationwide. Tejeda mentors the next generation of diverse marketers and is an influential leader known for investing in the success of women and people of color.

Tejeda earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, a Master of Fine Arts from The New School, and an executive certificate in Financial Analytics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  She is fluent in Spanish and a New York City native.
