MarTech Outlook: Selection Methodology

Program Objective

The “Top MarTech Solutions & Services” and related recognitions by MarTech Outlook aim to identify organizations across the marketing technology ecosystem that demonstrate leadership in customer journey enablement and data-driven execution. The program covers technology and software providers supporting businesses across AI, analytics, and marketing automation, alongside platforms specializing in account-based marketing, ad management, and social media management. It also recognizes organizations advancing capabilities in marketing attribution, customer data platforms, and personalization. By highlighting leaders delivering intelligent, scalable, and insight-driven solutions, we showcase the technology partners essential to managing the complexities of modern enterprise marketing.

The Selection Framework

Our research team, in collaboration with the MarTech Outlook Editorial Board, an external panel of industry peers, analysts and subscriber-driven nominations, employs a Marketing Technology Value Assessment Model to identify and recognize companies delivering exceptional value to the marketing technology sector. Subscriber input plays an important role in the process, highlighting companies that professionals across the industry would recommend to their peers, choose for their own organizations or regard as best-in-class within their domain.

Nominees are scored on a scale of 1–100 across the following four criteria:

Impact on Customer Engagement and Revenue Outcomes (30%)

Assessment focuses on measurable improvements in campaign effectiveness, customer acquisition, retention, conversion rates, personalization or revenue contribution across marketing functions.

Marketing Technology-Specific Application and Ecosystem Fit (25%)

The editorial board examines how well a provider aligns with marketing workflows, customer journey mapping, data environments and the integration requirements across marketing platforms.

Execution in Data-Driven and Multi-Channel Environments (25%)

Scoring considers the ability to deliver reliably across environments shaped by multiple channels, large data volumes and real-time engagement demands while maintaining consistency and accuracy.

Market Confidence and Industry Adoption (20%)

Strong candidates demonstrate sustained trust through client relationships, subscriber nominations, repeat engagements, referrals and recognition among marketing leaders as dependable technology partners.

• Stage 2: Editorial & Technical Review: Shortlisted organizations are assessed using publicly available information, industry context and, where applicable, additional non-proprietary inputs shared voluntarily.

• Stage 3: Final Adjudication: Final selections are made by the Editorial Advisory Board, comprising industry peers and analysts, following a comprehensive review of each organization’s capabilities, market relevance and overall impact.
